Ok so was the McCain camp asleep when they chose Sara Palin as VP or just plain stupid? Come on… Govenor of Alaksa?

Ok, I give the guy credit for picking a female, I can see he is trying to lure the Hillary voters, but let’s face it, this lady is so far right she’s off the map!

Then news breaks that her 17 year old daughter is 5 month pregnant? Now that’s an Ultra conservatives nightmare if I ever heard one! lol.

And according to McCain himself, “… his running mate should have the qualifications to immediately step into the role of commander in chief.” A two year Alaskan Governor that has never been outside of the US with no foreign policy experience is ready to step in to be President? Come on John, you are 72.

This election just couldn’t get any worse…

So let’s see… You got the new kids on the block who doesn’t know Jack paired up with a cronnie that couldn’t get more than 1% of the vote the last 4 times he ran for president (Obama, read this… NO ONE LIKES HIM!) or you have the accient Bush wanna be paired with the young “Hockey Mom” that can’t even control her own daughter!

Man I tell ya, Boone Pickens is looking awful good right now…

Now this one is hard for me, I really like the Mayor and his wife Corrin, but their “Two for Tuz” campaign kills me. We have kids in our own community who can’t even afford school supplies and they want us to buy 2 sets of everything so they can send it to a Country most of the kids in our district can’t even find on a map?

Come on, Bryan and Corrin; charity starts at home. I know Bryan has been a big supporter of many local charities to help the less fortunate, but we aren’t an international aid society.

And why the heck are we even sister cities with this country in the first place? We can’t afford enough police and fire fighters, but we can afford all the ceremony for sister city… blah blah blah?

If you don’t think there are kids that need help in our city then you are detached and distant from the real world. There are kids sleeping on the bare floor; kids that eat one meal a day if they are lucky and kids whose school supplies consist of a new pencil if they are lucky.

Yes, Rochester Hills is an affluent community. Most people here can afford to buy two items. But if you are going to buy two items, why not donate it to the kid next door who may not eat tomorrow before you send it off to a city thousands of miles away?

So Obama picks Joe Biden as his VP?? So much for change! That guys been part of the establishment longer than Dick Cheney’s socks! Talk about stupid moves! Sure maybe strategically it gives him experience, but everyone knows the VP does nothing but sit in the Naval Observatory and play video games all day.

What gets me the most is that Joe Biden was the same guy that said Obama was not experienced enough to be president. He also called him the first “Clean” African-American Candidate!! Now he is supporting him and is going to be his VP? Man are the republicans going to have a field day with that!

Obama is loosing supporters left and right and I fear we are going to have another 4 years of failed Bush economics with McCain. I just wish the old fart would give me something to believe in.

Oh well… I guess its another election voting for Ralph Nader…

Welcome backto the new and improved Robbins Report, calling out stupid as stupid does!

In our first installment…

It appears that the Rochester Hills City Council, in their “Holier than thou” attitude has decided that people who owe back taxes or back water bills shouldn’t be allowed to run for city council.

What a waste of time! Was the Council chambers void of oxygen that night or did they take stupid pills? I mean come on, I expect more from these people. Here is why this just won’t work…

1. At what point and time does the clerk check to see if you owe? Upon submitting petitions? Ok so as long as you are current at that time, it don’t matter if you get behind again.

2. Just because someone owes taxes or water bills does that make them too stupid to be on Council? What’s with the BS attitude up there?

3. What about people who rent? If their landlord is behind does it mean they can’t run?

4. If the mortgage company who has funds in escrow is behind does it mean you can’t run?

I really hope they rescind this motion and take it off the ballot because if it is enacted, I can see a violation of civil rights lawsuit in the future. Don’t these people have anything better to do like figure out how to fund more cops? They are soooo worried that someone who is behind in their taxes is going to take their job they have to add it to the Charter? Come on.

What’s next? If you live in a certain area of the city you can’t run? Why don’t we say if your house is valued under a certain amount you shouldn’t be able to run or if your grass isn’t cut on the second tuesday in June you can’t run. What about if the car you drive costs under 30k you can’t run.

I am so disappointed in these people. Give props to Marty, Jim and *gulp* E-man (Yes I said it) for voting against it.
